Ecowater
System: Reverse
Osmosis - The LC Series is small in size but
big in capacity. This free standing RO system
is only 30” in height but it can produce up
to 300 US gallons per day of permeate water.
LC
Series is suitable for manufacturing, pharmaceutical,
food processing industries, shopping centres,
schools, and hotels. |

Ecodyne
Industrial multimedia
filters are designed to remove turbidity down
to 10 microns in size. Multimedia filters are
also referred to as depth filters, because turbidity
is removed throughout the bed, not just on the
surface of the top layer. They are sized based
on the required service flow rate. Multimedia
filters, as the name applies, have multiple layers
of media in the vessel. Ecodyne Industrial’s multimedia
filters have a three-layer bed plus a quartz gravel
support bed. The filter bed is constructed of
large, least-dense granules of Anthracite; medium-sized,
more dense Sand; small size, most dense Garnet.
The underbedding is washed and graded Quartz Gravel.
Multimedia filters performance is based on the
turbidity level, turbidity size and application.
Flow rates of 5 gpm per square foot are normal
when NTU levels are greater than 200. Flow rates
up to 20 gpm per square foot can be realized when
treating cooling tower water. Reverse Osmosis
Pretreatment permits flow rates of 8 to 15 gpm
per square foot. The backwash flow rate required
is 12 to 15 gpm per square foot.
Ecodyne
Industrial offers a complete line of Multimedia
filters starting at 12” (8 gpm) up to 72” (550
gpm). These filters are offered in a single multiport
valve design or valve nest design.

This
technology has been used in Europe longer than
North America, but with more and more installations,
the trend in North America is growing and Ecodyne
is leading the way. Packed Bed technology, while
typically costing more initially, provides long
lasting benefits that are likely to meet your
pay back criteria, including:
·
Highest water quality
· Lowest chemical consumption
· Minimum waste volume
We
would be happy to provide a payback analysis
of conventional versus packed bed technology.
